Austin's RAKlife Trip Helping the Less Fortunate
Family and Friends,
I will be traveling to the beautiful country of Myanmar (also known as Burma) with the non-profit group RAKlife from January 28th through February 7th, 2016. Getting to know RAKlife and its members has been extremely motivating and inspiring. Organizations like this are hard to find! I have always been an advocate for charity, and now I feel like I am finally going to make a real difference. Going to Myanmar will be the best thing I have ever done for this planet, and I can’t wait to make new friends and memories as I do my best to have a positive impact on the people of Myanmar.
Happiness is everything for the human race, it is the only intrinsic good and more valuable than any object. From what I have heard, the people of Myanmar are experts in happiness. They are never wanting, and never selfish. Despite the difficulties of living in a place with a mending government and economic strain they are always happy! Just happy! I wonder who will really be helping who in this adventure. Follow RAKlife, read their stories, meet the volunteers, and you will see how they are doing everything they can to help people all over the world who are living in poverty.
Spiritually I have never craved anything more than this experience. I have done everything I can to clear my schedule with two jobs and my professors, now all that is left is the financial aspect! I am grateful for any amount that you can help with, and thank you to my friends and family who have already been so helpful and supportive, especially Amber Miller, Jeannine and Eric Hassoldt, Jim Kennedy and Matt Foster.
RAKlife is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, so ALL donations are tax deductible and 100% of ALL donations that I receive will go directly toward my volunteer experience (they don't pay for overhead or salaries because they do this out of love!)
