Lauren's RAKlife Trip Helping the Less Fortunate

Dear Family and Friends,

I am super excited to share with you this amazing opportunity that has come my way. I have volunteered and donated locally and continue to do so but have had a deep desire to also help those in need outside of my local community. When my good friend Lindsay told me about the RAKlife foundation and her upcoming trip to Vietnam this September, I immediately wanted to know more and basically told her right then and there that I have to go.

The RAKlife foundation spoke to me right away and after taking the time to check out their site and all the wonderful things that they are doing around the world, it was a no brainer that this was the right place and time for me to dive in and realize my goal of helping others on a broader scale. The RAKlife foundation, which stands for Random Acts of Kindness, go every year locally and domestically to help build schools, playgrounds, restrooms, showers and clean water basins for the less fortunate.

This September in Vietnam, with the help of a local team, we will be building a bathroom and clean water basin for a family. I couldn't think of a more rewarding thing to do while getting to travel and explore somewhere new, than to be able to help others in need. The day after I met with Lindsay I went to work and arranged time off to try and make this trip happen. Thanks to my amazing co-worker, I was able to set this trip into motion and mark my calendar!

I wanted to share this opportunity with others and offer a chance for those who feel compelled to contribute towards this wonderful cause and a longstanding dream of mine. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read about my excitement for this foundation and for any donations.

Lots of love,
