Yoga Instructor BiO
Alana Roach
Alana’s love for yoga came from firsthand experience with just how powerful the practice is. “In 2009, Yoga found me. Inside the studio, she experienced a deep sense of belonging, but the most profound part was what happened after. “I felt as though I was at true peace. I finally knew what the word meant. Until that moment, I had just understood it cerebrally. There is something profound to be said about Peace dropping into the heart.”
With a background in ballet starting at the age of 2 that continued through age 15, Alana realized that She had been doing yoga even then. “The girls in the dance studio and I used to see who could hold full lotus the longest when I was just 4. I realize now that I have been training to practice and teach yoga my whole life”
In 2012, her journey took her to India for 3 months where she trained with incredible locals near the Himalayas and fell into a rhythm of practice that felt sustaining. She knew that when She returned from the East, she would begin in creating a life as a teacher of Yoga to help others journey to find whole health and well-being in the mind, body, and soul. She has been teaching ever since.
Reiki and Intuitive Healer Alana Roach is E-RYT Yoga Alliance certified in Vinyasa with a focus in Ashtanga Yoga and her personal studies of all Yoga theory and style ranging from Restorative to Power and everything in between, Alana teaches all levels and all ages. “I want to reach you at the level of your needs, and I try to communicate with you on a mind, body, soul level to find out what that is. We co-create a beautiful practice together. My students are my best teachers. In that light, we are co-teaching each other in every moment. It is really a beautiful experience.”
Lindsay Worek
“I have been a seeker and I still am, but I stopped asking books and the stars. I started listening to the teaching of my Soul.” –Rumi
The path of yoga found Lindsay in 2009 while she was an undergraduate at Towson University. She took a class “just for fun and credits” and realized within that first class that yoga was part of her destiny. It was through yoga that she was able to tap into this inner resource within her that she didn’t know existed before. From that day on, she knew she wanted to share her experience with the world.
Lindsay recognized the incredible spiritual, emotional, mental and physical healing that yoga offers as yoga helped her to heal on different levels. In 2012, she stumbled upon The Prancing Peacock Yoga Studio in Yardley, PA, and received a Reiki healing session that would re-direct the course of her life. Almost immediately after that session, she signed up for teacher training. The rest is history.
Lindsay completed the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2013 at The Prancing Peacock. She is also certified in Reiki I and II. Reiki is hands-on intuitive energy healing. She is also certified in Restorative Yoga and traditional shamanic healing modalities. She is a member of Yoga Alliance. Lindsay also writes and edits articles for Rebelle Society (www.rebellesociety.com) She will be traveling to Costa Rica for an indefinite amount of time to work with healers and see what the Universe has in store for her. Lindsay believes in love, light, laughter, peace, Angels and the power of manifestation and intention.

“When I took my first power yoga class with Alana I was a bit nervous but she made me feel so comfortable and connected in class that I had to keep going back. She really helps me tune into myself and makes me feel comfortable to challenge myself that gives me the feeling of accomplishment and gratitude. Alana is such a great teacher and I feel so comfortable with her that I asked her to do a Reiki healing for me. It was a new experience for me and Alana explained everything to me and when I was done I felt wonderful like I was on a cloud. Since then things in my life have been clearer and I have been feeling more on track with my life. I am grateful that I met Alana.”-Rae Portillo
